Engagement Session 2: Gainesville Tour

Jeyko and I just spent a wonderful weekend with his family who came to visit us and help us clear some of the pruned branches from the ochard. The weather has been so gorgeous this week and in turn lent itself to some fun work...and beautiful photography on the part of Jeyko's talented brother, Joaquin. He and his wife, Jackie guided and trained us in looking graceful as we showed them around town. The result is a spunky album of our happy selves, only a little prettier than usual. Take a look!

Jeyko's Mami also showed us her camera skills as she snapped up some shots while we posed. However, something in the process of transferring her photos to my computer prevents me from being able to rotate them. So, I will try to upload those ones later. Until then, goodnight and until next time!

Engagement Session 1: My Valentine

In celebration of Memaw's Valentine's day birthday, which is actually tomorrow, we got together with our side of the Moss clan today and had cake in Lake City. The day turned out so beautiful as the weather has been nice to us this weekend. And since we were already all dressed up, my wonderfully practical bonus mom (stepmom for those of you who haven't learned the new family terms established this summer) concluded that today presented the perfect opportunity for engagement photos. Since both of my grandparents' properties are so beautiful and since we were planning to visit both of them anyway, Jeyko and I whole-heartedly agreed. So, here we are. Enjoy the first of probably a few sessions=)

Some Thoughts

This is such a pretty picture that I saved to Dad's computer months ago and have no recollection of where I found it...so, I'm sorry whoever I stole this from! Basically, this reminds me of the blackberry pie I made for father's day last year with the wild blackberries my little cousins and I picked in our aunt's field. I would LOVE for them to be ripe again before our wedding so I could make another or 2 (or 3)!

The little diy rose-covered cake decoration made my heart just thumpety-thump! Obviously this would be very time-consuming on a cake that is not that small, but maybe I can convince my most-likely-to-be-extremely-busy-and-hopefully-not-too-stressed-out Mama to make us a little personal carrot cake to cut into, so that I can have a taste of my favorite desert in the world on our big day. The matching bouquet flower on the right made just too perfect a pair not to post. It also is a unique idea, though my version would probably be light pink. I'm considering that flower as one for my bouquet if I decide I want to buy from a florist.
